MANAGEMENT AND TRANSPORT AUTOMATION IN WAREHOUSES BASED ON AUTO-GUIDED VEHICLES

Abstract This paper describes a modular and integral solution for management and transport automation in warehouses developed in the context of a research project, AutoTrans. Management automation includes a warehouse, an optimal location process and a flexible identification system based on RFID and PDAs. Warehouse supervision includes a SCADA system with internet access for remote control. In the context of transport automation, it has been implemented several facilities such as navigation with path planning, line tracking and teleoperation using a force-feedback device.
