An input-output sampled data model for a class of continuous-time nonlinear systems having no finite zeros

This paper develops a new input-output sampled-data model for a class of nonlinear systems having no finite zeros. The result extends recent work on sampled-data state space models for nonlinear systems. Important properties of the new model described are: (i) it has a local truncation error of order Δn+1, where n is the state dimension and Δ is the sample period, (ii) it depends on input and output only, and (iii) it makes explicit the extra sampling zero dynamics arising from the sampling process.
