Progress in the Polynomial Solution of the Standard H∞ Optimal Control Problem

Abstract The paper presents the polynomial solution of the “standard” H ∞ optimal control problem. By J -spectral factorization a pair of matrix polynomial equations is obtained, one linear, the other quadratic. The solution of the optimal control problem is reduced to finding a suitable solution of these equations.
