Comments on "Reduction of the need for phase unwrapping in radar interferometry" (and Reply)

It is pointed out that the "Integer Interferometric Combination (IIC)" technique proposed by D. Massonnet et al. ibid., vol.34, p.489-97 (1996). has been proposed in an earlier paper by W. Xu et al., IGARSS'94, p.730-2 (p.196-8?) (1994). They consider that the method is helpless when phase unwrapping is really a problem for the original interferogram.
