H∞ Design of a Multivariable Missile Autopilot Using Coprirne Factors

Abstract A six degrees-of-freedom (DOF) missile autopilot is synthesized using loop shaping and a H ∞ robust stabilization procedure by Mc Farlane and Glover. Robust stability and performance in the face of large aerody namic uncertainties are then investigated using real / mixed μ analysis : the multivariable H ∞ autopilot is proved to exhibit good parametric robustness properties. The autopilot is finally validated on a non linear simulator.
