A Reduced Order Model and a Robust Controller's Synthesis of a Black-Liquor Evaporatlon System

Abstract Following the analytical (non-linear) model development of an evaporator-superconcentratorsystem, a procedure is proposed for reduction of the model order and the complexity resulting in a fourth-order linear model. This model was successfully used to design a robust controller using an μ-synthesis method. Simulation results shown that this controller guarantees the nominal and robust stability and performance, even, for the original non-linear system.
