Weak Lambertian assumption for determining cylindrical shape and pose from shading and contour

Weak Lambertian assumption is proposed and used to determine shape and pose of cylindrical objects from a monocular intensity image. The method does not require the knowledge of lighting conditions (light intensity and lighting direction), surface properties, or albedos. Experimental results for both synthesized and real images showing the validity of the method are presented.<<ETX>>
